Ram Navmi is the festival which is dedicated to Lord Ram and is celebrated with the great zeal and enthusiasm throughout the country. For the Hindus the day is considered to be the most auspicious and the most sacred occasion. On this day Hindus pray and chant the name of Lord Ram. There are number of pooja that is organized in the temples and number of devotees attends the pooja with the colors of devotion. The people also narrates the shlokas and mantras which are related to Lord Ram and also dances to the tunes of Ram Bhajans.

Ram NavmiCelebrations: The festival is celebrated with the ultimate fun and fervor in the different parts of the country. The festival is celebrated with the birth of the Lord Ram who is also one of the most worshiped Hindu God. Ram Navmi falls on the ninth day of the Chaitra month of the Hindu calendar. The celebration of the day starts with the prayer of Sun God. The devotees of Lord Ram who observes the whole day fast on the festival can only break their fast in the midnight. As the part of the celebrations the people also keeps their house clean and also decorates the house in a beautiful way. The devotees also offers flowers, burn dhoop and incense sticks.

Rituals: The Ram Navmi is the festival which is celebrated with certain traditions and customs. The traditions like Pooja, Bhajan, Fast and Rath Yatra is to be followed by the devotees who follows Ram Navmi so well. On the occasion of Ram Navmi all the devotees worship Lord Rama as the day is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Rama. The pooja starts with the establishment of the pictures of Lord Rama, Lakshamana, Sita and Hanuman. Bhajan is also the important part of the ritual of the Ram Navmi pooja. The devotees chant the holy mantras and Ram naam (Ram's name) for the whole day and it makes the day highly religious.

Ram Navmi Pooja: The day of Ram Navami is celebrated as the most auspicious day by the Hindus. The Lord Ram is considered as the avtara or incarnation of Lord Vishnu who is one of the supreme Hindu god. Lord Ram is worshiped in in our country as the symbol of the most ideal man, trustworthy husband and an obedient son on earth.

Significance: The festival Ram Navami is celebrated as the birthday of the Lord Rama who is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The major objective of the festival is the to ask for the special favor of the deity and also seek for the perfection of the human being. In the temples that are dedicated to the Lord Rama are specially decorated and bhajan sessions are also organized throughout the day. The pundits of the temple specially recites Ramayana on this day.
