Location
The Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu is well linked by road, train and air with all major cities of India as well as abroad. Poondi, where the Center is located, is 30 km. from Coimbatore and easily accessible by road. Regular bus services ply to the city.

About the Founder
The foundation of this organization was laid by the Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, an enlightened master who has transformed the lives of thousands of people from struggle and disappointment to ones of peace and fulfillment. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev firmly promotes that his life is an endeavor, "To help people experience and express their divinity." A self independent child who did not fit into the practical life of the world, he started yogic practices like Pranayams and Asanas under the tutelage of Shree Raghavendra Rao popularly known as Malladihalli Swami as early as the age of 13 years.

About the Ashram
Located against the backdrop of Velliangiri Mountains known as Dakshin Kailash, the Center founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev that reflects the stillness and the splendor of the surrounding majestic mountains. The Center houses the Isha Foundation which is devoted to advancing physical, mental and spiritual health through yogic science. The Foundation manages a unique Dhyanalingam meditation shrine and multi-religious temple, over 25 Yoga centers, an Ashram and hospital.

Architecturally, the Isha Yoga Center is a well planned and laid out place. The triangular block houses the brahmacharis and brahmacharinis or the nuns, who come from varied backgrounds, including the corporate world. The thatched meditation hall, where residential programs are organized, stands next to a large open ground. Interestingly, during Maha Shivaratri, the biggest event at the ashram, 50,000 people gather here.

Programmes
The ashram conducts the Sahaj Sthithi Yoga, a form of yoga, enough to integrate into one's daily life. The course is held for 13 day with 3 hours a day workshop. The Sahaj Sthithi Yoga amalgamates dynamic raja yoga practices, breathing techniques and shoonya meditation or an effortless process of conscious non-doing. It stimulates the release of physical, mental and emotional blocks and activates spontaneous expression of vital energy.

The workshop is presented through centers in over 50 centers and towns in Tamil Nadu. Also, under the Sadhguru's guidance, yoga programmes are being held in various parts of the world including, India and USA. Sadhguru's programmes have changed many tensed, indecisive temperamental, rigid and timid minds to calm, relaxed, effortless and dynamic ones The programmes with pranayam and meditation are very effective for stress relief, depression, hypertension, asthma, diabetes and other psychosomatic diseases. Memory, concentration and work productivity can be increased significantly.
